BRIEF

BabyBoard team hired us to bring to life their concept of interactive didactic game aimed at improving children’s cognitive, thinking and motor skills. The main challenge was to design the user experience suitable for babies and toddlers (up to age of 3).

SOLUTION

Before any design steps were made we spent several weeks exploring user requirements by meticulously interviewing a team of child psychologists, pediatrician specialists and parents. An extensive multidisciplinary approach during the research and planning phase allowed us to set a clear vision on how to design the UX around this unique didactic mobile game.

GAME MECHANICS

Basic geometric figures, simple color scheme, carefully tuned sounds and specific animations were picked with two main benefits in mind: to improve child’s motor skills and strengthen their motivation.

We came up with a user interface and game mechanisms that contain the best combination of learning techniques in order to stimulate toddlers to play and develop faster.

LAUNCH STRATEGY

Next to the user experience design and mobile development was the marketing team which took responsibility for the product launch promotional campaign. To increase the app downloads we have prepared and executed social media, content marketing and media buying strategy, built a landing page website and produced a high quality promotional video.

RESULTS

The final product was a one of a kind game of cognitive skills with 50+ levels available for iOS and Android mobile devices. Unique game concept allowed the client to sign a lucrative deal with Toys’R’Us , a leading US toy retailer, to feature the app inside their retail stores.
